The fourteen artworks of this series are composed of the same photograph, printed thirty times, superimposed with the physical imprint of the performer Yuko Kaseki. During a full thirty-day lunar cycle, every day, she places one of the prints against her body, from dawn to dusk, letting it record her movements, taking the measure of her physical existence.
The resulting sculptural work is thus the receptacle of two images. The first is strictly photographic, as the imprint of a memory. The second is corporeal and modifies the first through superimposition, by embodying the imprint of an experience without image, which exists only in the scar left on the print. Through materiality and sculpturality, this work tackles questions inherent to the photographic trace and the ambiguity of what an image is.

Les quatorze pièces uniques de la série se composent de trente tirages de la même photographie à laquelle vient se superposer l’empreinte du corps de la performeuse Yuko Kaseki. Durant un cycle lunaire entier de trente jours, chaque jour, elle porta contre son corps, du matin au soir, un des tirages.
L’œuvre sculpturale qui en découle est ainsi le réceptacle de deux images. La première est strictement photographique, elle n’est l’empreinte que d’un souvenir, la seconde est corporelle et vient par surimpression modifier la première, en incarnant l’empreinte d’une expérience sans image, qui n’existe plus que dans la cicatrice laissée dans le tirage. Ce travail aborde ainsi par le biais de la matérialité et de la sculpturalité des questions inhérentes à la trace photographique et l’ambiguïté de ce qu’est une image.
